Patrick, Gavin and myself opening gifts.
We celebrated Christmas with my family over the New Year's holiday. It was a wonderful few days full of good conversation, great food, opening gifts, watching movies and lots of playing with the kids. Sophia and Gavin of coarse were totally spoiled! That is to be expectd though when grandparents are around (as my mother would say). Sophia pretty much wanted nothing to do with her boring old parents and only Nanna, Papa or Uncle Lane would do. Nice huh! I did remind her that we are the ones that feed her and clothe her...she didn't seem to care much.

Grandpa and Gav.

Patrick, Sophia and Grandpa Ken all bundled up to take Sophie on her first sledding adventure. She got a new sled from G & G Volesky. Sophie only lasted about 15 minutes outside (it was pretty cold) and she got a bit nervous with the loud, crunching snow underneath her. We will have to try again when it is a bit warmer. She also could hardly turn her head or walk because she was so bundled up!

The last photo before my parents had to leave to go back home. It's always a sad good-bye.

Now that Sophia is 2 years old, she enjoys a good read in the Business and Finance section of the Sunday paper. She has really matured since yesterday.

Love the hair-do Soph!
